  2. Cherry Red. The Freshies were a band that enjoyed a cult status back at the beginning of the 80s. Famous for "I'm In Love With The Girl On A Certain Manchester Megastore Check-Out Desk". The single was played everywhere and sold over copies but it's failure to go Top 40 proved too much for the band, who never scaled such heights again/5(2).
